Privacy policy

Your photos

Facet edits your photos on your PC, including with its AI tools. Facet doesn't upload your photos or documents, and we can't see them.

What Facet stores on your PC

• Your view preference (Simple or Advanced).
• If you activate Facet Pro: your license key, your email address and your membership status, encrypted with your Windows account.

What Facet sends over the internet

If you activate Facet Pro, Facet sends your license key and the product ID to Gumroad, to confirm your membership. It does this when you activate, shortly after launch, and every six hours while it's open. Gumroad replies with your membership details, including your email address. Like any internet request, this also reveals your IP address to Gumroad.

Without a Pro license, Facet doesn't contact Gumroad. Facet contains no ads, analytics or tracking.

Purchases

Gumroad handles Facet Pro checkout, payments and receipts. Facet never sees your card details. Gumroad's use of your information is covered by the Gumroad privacy policy.

Downloads and this website

This website and Facet's installer are hosted by GitHub, which may log visits as described in the GitHub privacy statement. If you install Facet from an app store, that store's own policy applies to the store.

Removing your information

Choose Remove License in Facet to delete the saved license. Uninstalling Facet may leave its settings folder behind; you can delete it from %APPDATA%\Facet.
