FrameSwift Privacy Notice
Effective November 2, 2026 · Prosper Technologies
This notice describes the current FrameSwift Social Photo Viewer preview and its Microsoft Store candidate. FrameSwift is a Windows desktop photo viewer and editor with optional social-sharing tools. You do not need a FrameSwift account to view, edit, or save photos.
Local photo viewing and editing
FrameSwift reads the photos or folders you open, creates previews and thumbnails, and processes adjustments on your PC. Save copy writes a JPEG or PNG to the location you choose. The app does not automatically upload your photo library to Prosper Technologies. Auto Adjust analyzes image samples locally; it does not send photos to a generative AI service.
Settings, recent items, and recovery
Appearance, window size, slideshow timing, and your choices about recent history and recovery are saved locally. When recent history is enabled, records include file and folder paths. Recovery records include the source path, file size/timestamp, and edit recipe; they do not include social tokens or photo pixels. Startup or unexpected-error logs can include diagnostic information and local paths. FrameSwift does not automatically send those logs to us.
The web-download build stores preferences under your local Windows user profile. The Store candidate uses its package-specific local app-data folder. These installations have separate settings. Their uninstall behavior can differ: Windows may remove Store app settings when you uninstall the Store package. Your source photos and exported copies stay in their selected locations.
Optional direct social sharing
When you choose to connect a service, FrameSwift sends the necessary authorization or verification requests to that service. The current providers are Bluesky, Mastodon, Discord webhooks, and Telegram bots, plus prepared developer integrations for Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, and X. Public Meta/X sign-in is not configured in this preview.
After you approve the final publishing review, FrameSwift sends the prepared image, caption, image description where supported, and destination information to the chosen service. Social credentials and sessions are held in process memory and are not intentionally saved to preferences, recovery records, or application logs. They clear when you disconnect locally or close the app. The services may retain authorization grants and published content until you revoke or remove them there.
Telegram bot tokens and Discord webhook URLs are sent to those services using their supported API formats. Mastodon authorization and publishing use the server you select. Meta and X developer tokens are sent to their respective APIs. No publisher-operated FrameSwift account server is used in the current preview.
Website handoff and Instagram image hosting
Save photo & open Instagram/Facebook saves a local JPEG and opens that platform's website. You select the saved file, add the caption, and finish publishing on the website. The X handoff opens X's composer with your caption in its URL; this transmits the caption to X when you choose the action. It does not automatically attach or upload the saved photo, copy the caption to the clipboard, or submit the post.
Instagram developer publishing requires a public HTTPS copy of the exact prepared JPEG on a host you control. You arrange that hosting yourself. FrameSwift checks the hosted image against the prepared photo without sending the Meta token to the image host, then supplies the image URL to Meta after your publishing confirmation. The host and Meta receive the network requests needed for this flow. Manage access and retention at your host and remove the hosted file when appropriate.
Analytics, advertising, and third parties
The current FrameSwift app has no analytics, advertising, subscription, or FrameSwift cloud photo-storage backend. It does not sell your photos or social tokens. Optional service connections, browser handoffs, the Microsoft Store, and this GitHub Pages website are also subject to the respective providers' privacy notices. Those providers may process account information, network metadata, and other data under their own terms. This website uses no custom analytics scripts.
Your controls and removing information
- Disable or clear recent history from FrameSwift Settings.
- Disable edit recovery if you do not want recovery recipes retained.
- Disconnect a social destination or close FrameSwift to clear its in-memory connection.
- Revoke the remote authorization in the service's account settings. Remove published posts in that service if desired.
- Manage or delete any Instagram staging file at the image host you selected.
- Delete local settings/recovery/log files or use Windows app removal/reset tools as appropriate. Back up anything you want to retain first. Prosper Technologies does not hold a cloud copy of these local records to delete for you.
Contact and updates
For app questions or privacy concerns, contact Prosper Technologies through the FrameSwift support page. Issues are public: do not post private photos, tokens, passwords, or sensitive personal information. This notice will be updated if the app's data practices change, including any future hosted sign-in or media-staging service.
